Kuno "Kuno Coon" is a dsh black male born abt March 28, 2008.

Kuno and his sister Fascia were hand raised and bottle fed since they were four weeks old.  He got his nickname (also known as The Coon or Coon) because during the first couple of weeks he would chitter like a raccoon while eating from the bottle.  At the same time there was a family of raccoons living in the eves right above my office at the shelter, and it seemed to be a contest of who would chitter the loudest at feeding time...Kuno or the baby raccoons.  Because of his coloring I didn't want people to get the wrong idea with his name so Coon became a nickname and Kuno his official name.

Kuno, when he's sleepy, is very willing to lay on his back in your arms (stretched out to complete length) while you rub his belly.  He will then become a limp noodle and pass out.  He's very playful and active.  He will chew on fingers, but is very gentle about it.  BUT, at night if he is in bed with you, watch out...toes moving under the covers are fair game with him and Fascia, and then he isn't so gentle.  I usually grab him and toss him under the covers with me to get him to settle down for the night.  Both he and Fascia are learning that when the water bottle comes out they are to stop what they are doing or they will be squirted.  That is especially necessary for when it comes to playing on the couch, and things hanging like curtains.  Both he and Fascia would be excellent mousers!  If you have more questions about them just call the shelter and ask for me, Cyndi, since it is my home they've been living at.  They are here at the shelter during our open hours so you can come by and meet them personally also.

Since Kuno and Fascia were hand-raised in a home environment, they are extremely close to each other (as you can tell by the second picture) and to the loving and caring touch of a person.  Because of this I would like to see them stay together.  To see them stay together, I am willing to do a two for one adoption fee for the new owner, and I will personally pay the second adoption fee.
